Singer
Emily Lapisardi holds a bachelor's degree in vocal performance from West Virginia University, where she was named a WVU outstanding senior, received the Nath award for outstanding undergraduate research, and was the university's nominee for the Rhodes and Marshall Scholarships. She has performed in opera, oratorio, and recitals in the United States, Italy, Austria, Ireland, and the UK. Emily has also presented first-person lecture recitals as Jenny Lind in venues throughout the U.S, including several where Lind performed in the 1850s. She regularly performed with several period music ensembles including The Old Economy Singers, Home Front, The Shillingsworths, and the Acoustic Shadows of the Blue and Gray. As Director of Musical Activities for the Catholic Chapel at the United States Military Academy, Emily continues to both perform and coach singers. She also holds a masters degree in sacred music/organ, making her a highly versatile and well-rounded music director.
Performance
Emily has participated in prestigious opera training programs including the Ezio Pinza Council for American Singers of Opera (Italy), American Institute of Musical Studies (Austria), and American Singers’ Opera Project (North Carolina). She sang for Andrew Lloyd Webber as part of the Richard Rodgers Awards and performed as a soloist at Kennywood Park with the Mon Valley Band.

Film
Emily's performances of 19th century parlor songs and hymns are showcased in the feature film Wieland, for which she also served as historical music advisor and arranger. Watch an excerpt here.
Pedagogy
Emily is an active vocal pedagogue, a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and a licensed Kindermusik educator. Several of her students have received full collegiate scholarships in music. Learn more here.
